Today RANZCO is releasing newly updated versions of two of its Development Policies:
• Policy on Welfare, Evangelism & Partisan Political Activities in International Development Projects; and
• Counter Terrorism.
Both of these policies comply with Australian and New Zealand requirements for responsible engagement with international development projects.
The Policy on Welfare, Evangelism & Partisan Political Activities in International Development Projects defines key terms (welfare, evangelism, partisan political activities), details RANZCO’s policy on such activities in the context of development work, and includes guidance on the implementation of the policy.
The Counter Terrorism policy is to ensure RANZCO’s compliance with requirements by Australia and New Zealand’s Departments of Foreign Affairs and Trade and includes links to relevant lists of international sanctions and proscribed terrorist organisations.
Further international development guidelines have been reviewed and updated and will be released via the RANZCO website over the coming weeks. All development guidelines are available in the Policies section of the RANZCO website here.
