Paediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship at Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS)
Applications for this 12 month full-time position are open and will close on 31 March 2025.

The position of Paediatric Ophthalmology Fellow will:

  • Deliver a high level of clinical service consistent with your skills and experience under the supervision of the Senior Medical Staff of the Service.
  • Fellows contribute to Registrar, Resident Medical Officer and Medical Student teaching. Registrar and RMO teaching includes both Dept. specific teaching and teaching to the broader CHQ education programmes.  Medical Student teaching commitments will be negotiated at the commencement of each semester with allowance made for workload and planned leave.
  • Demonstrate commitment to evidence based practice, research and quality improvement activities, including undertaking clinical audits and clinical risk management activities
  • You will be supported & expected to deliver medical services through participation in clinical duties in accordance with the policies and practices of the Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service.

APAO International Fellowship Program (IFP) 2024-25
The APAO International Fellowship Program (IFP) 2024-25 is now open for applications, which close 30 June. Up to 5 fellowships are on offer each year.

The program aims to help promising young ophthalmologists from the Asia-Pacific region, in particular those from developing nations, to improve their clinical skills, surgical exposure, as well as their research experience, and to broaden their perspectives of ophthalmology.
