Australian and New Zealand Paediatric Ophthalmology Society

The Australian and New Zealand Paediatric Ophthalmology Society (ANZPOS), previously Paediatric Special Interest Group (PSIG), was established in 2006 under the guidance of Dr Denis Stark to parallel other interest groups within RANZCO and to provide expert responses to paediatric ophthalmic issues in Australia and New Zealand. An annual symposium, limited to ophthalmologists and their trainees and held without sponsorship, takes the format of each delegate presenting two clinical cases for discussion. The format and collegiate nature of the meeting is unique and deeply valued by delegates.

ANZPOS has provided subspecialty knowledge and support to develop RANZCO Professional and Clinical Guidelines and Position Statements relevant to paediatric ophthalmology.
