Prof Shigeru Kinoshita from Japan, also named in the inaugural Hall of Fame list, will be presenting the Sir Norman Gregg Lecture at the upcoming RANZCO Congress in Perth (20-23 October).
This recognition follows the earlier acknowledgements of several Australian ophthalmologists that were listed among the top 100 in their field globally in the 2023 Power List, also compiled by The Ophthalmologist magazine, with Adelaide’s Dr Ben LaHood becoming Australia’s youngest ever nominee. Australian Fellows Profs Stephanie Watson and David Mackey and New Zealand Fellow Prof Helen Danesh-Meyer, who presented the Dame Ida Mann Memorial Lecture at the RANZCO Congress in Brisbane, were also recognised in the Power List.
